Pink had a whole new meaning that day.Wow Air to Iceland had everything to do with the color pink.Starting from the aircraft to the air hostess everyone had the tagline "I love pink" vividly written on them.It took us some time to wrap our heads around this idea.

We reached Keflavik airport very early in the morning and boarded a bus to Reykjavik. The driver was a very friendly man, who apparently described the chill outside as very sunny and extremely great weather.Given that we are in Iceland, the conversation felt quite normal. We, being super excited to be in a new country and wanting to grasp all its beauty, as the bus took off, tried very hard to keep our eyes wide open, only to fall asleep deeply. Thereby enjoying the view in our dreams. The bus driver woke us up when we reached the Reykjavik Campsite where we waited to be picked up by the Laxnes Farms for Horse riding tours. And in no time I was on my horse called, Þyrnirós(Sleeping Beauty).I was not at all comfortable initially given my absolute lack of experience to tackle a horse. But the horses were trained and they were very obedient.

We stopped in the Icelandic grassland to feed the horses. We rode on horses through lands which are otherwise inaccessible by cars. The serene beauty of this country nudged at us.We lost ourselves enjoying the view and getting friendly with our newly found pets.

We hitch-hiked back to the Reykjavik Campsite where we waited to get our ride for the next few days.Went to grab coffee at the front desk and stumbled upon this sign below. Realized Icelandic people have a great sense of humor.

After long horse ride, we decided to head to the Blue lagoon, hot spring, to relax and enhance the quality of our skins:)

Hot dogs - a must eat while you are in Iceland. So Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur in Reykjavik downtown. This hot dog stand has been in continuous operation since 1937, when the first stand was set up by the current owner's grandfather. In August 2004, the stand was visited by former United States president Bill Clinton while he was visiting Iceland.n August 2006, the British newspaper The Guardian selected Bæjarins Beztu as the best hot dog stand in Europe. The queue was little long and worth it .

Finally, we called it a day at Reykjavik campsite.Though the picture looks warm and cozy inside the tent, it was a cold night.
