Iceland Day 6 - MyVatn - Viti - GodaFoss - Akureyri - Daeli

It was a cloudy day again .Did not know what to do.Headed to the visitor center and grabbed some maps and hiked up the Hverfjall crater.

As the clouds started to clear away , we could see smokey lands far away.

We met this cute Chinese couple on the way down from the Hverfjall crater.

Had Icelandic brown bread for breakfast .

I recollect a very funny story here .Went to the restroom and on my way out saw a man crawl out of the men's toilet so that he does not have to pay.I was still trying to figure out why the man was crawling when he looked up at me and with an awkward embarrassing smile ran out of my sight.

Next stop at Dimmiborgum lava formations.Walking through these beautiful formations reaaly makes you wonder how powerful nature is .

Natural hot spring , but this one is not for bathing .

The psuedo craters at SkitustOagigar- they are formed due to explosion caused when hot molten lava plunges into the ocean

Winding roads in between the red mountains.

Hevrir has lot of geothermal activity and this was the place which we named as smoking land earlier.

Fumaroles

And as we drives towards Viti crater we see Ice on the mountains

Geothermal power plant .90% of Iceland's electricity is generated from geothermal power plant.

Went inside the facility to look for washroom .Found one ,but jammed the door while inside it.A man heard my knocking and thus saved my frightened soul.
